Piraeus Tower
The Piraeus Tower is a tall building with 22 floors, a total height of 88 meters, and a gross floor area of approximately 34,000 m2, hosting offices, retail shops, a gym, wellness spaces, and food and beverage establishments. The Tower was certified with LEED v4 for Building Design & Construction – Core and Shell at Platinum level in 2024.
The Tower’s innovative design, combined with the application of sustainable practices, establishes it as a symbol of progress, prosperity, and environmental responsibility in the heart of the city. To assess the environmental impact of the Piraeus Tower, a comparative evaluation was conducted between two scenarios: a hypothetical new construction and the actual renovation of the tower. The comparison focused on key metrics such as embodied energy and carbon, which reflect the environmental footprint across the building’s life cycle.
Piraeus Tower is the first sustainable tall building in Greece to achieve LEED certification at Platinum level. Additionally, it aims to achieve the globally recognized WELL certification, which focuses on the health, well-being, and productivity of its occupants. These certifications place the Piraeus Tower at the forefront of sustainable building design, ensuring a lasting positive impact on both the environment and the people who use the building.
