Piraeus 180 & 186
The Piraeus 180 & 186 (formerly known as Athens Heart) is a 58,640 m² office complex, owned by Premia Properties, and has achieved LEED v4 for Building Design & Construction at Gold level in 2024.
The new building used by the ΑΑΔΕ – IAPR in Tavros, Athens, is the first asset owned by Premia to obtain an international sustainability certification, by achieving LEED certification. Designed to support 1,100 daily users, it enhances the efficiency of tax administration with dedicated areas for control and collection departments.
The conversion of the former “Athens Heart” shopping mall into an office complex on Piraeus Street highlights how responsible real estate investments in the urban core can revitalize urban spaces. The Project employs strategies in site development, energy efficiency, water conservation, material selection, and indoor environmental quality, thereby enhancing health and sustainability for its occupants. Additionally, by reusing the existing building structure, the project significantly supports global decarbonization goals by reducing embodied carbon emissions associated with construction materials through adaptive reuse.
Piraeus 180 & 186 serves as a model for resilient, healthy, and forward-thinking responsible development, benefiting the community and aligning with broader sustainability goals.
