    Overview

    The “Buildings for People with Special Abilities,” a 21,000 m² facility located within the Ellinikon Project in Athens and has been certified with LEED v4 for Building Design & Construction at Platinum level in 2024.

     

    The Project is specifically designed to cater to differently abled citizens with special needs. Besides the significance of this achievement from an environmental perspective, this sustainability certification emphasizes the inherent inclusivity of the endeavor. By prioritizing the needs of a special group within our community, the project fosters a sense of belonging and dignity for all members of The Ellinikon community.

     

    Achieving LEED at Platinum level the “Buildings for People with Special Abilities” set a new standard for inclusivity and sustainability in building design. The Project incorporates advanced sustainability features while ensuring accessibility and comfort for differently abled individuals. This dual focus on environmental performance and social inclusivity demonstrates a holistic approach to building design, where the needs of the environment and the community are both prioritized.
