Heraklion Airport the first airport in Greece to pursue LEED certification

The new Heraklion International Airport of Crete is scheduled to be fully operational in 2025 and will be the second busiest airport in Greece! Its Terminal is the first one in Greece pursuing LEED certification through the implementation of a holistic sustainability strategy minimizing its overall environmental footprint and enhancing resilience to climate change.
