CCRI becomes the 1st ever building in Cyprus to achieve LEED certification

We are excited to announce that the CCRI in Nicosia has achieved LEED certification at Gold level. This new building of the University of Cyprus has been constructed with funds from the George and Kaity David Foundation and was named after Nicola David Pinedo who lost the battle with cancer in 2016. The CCRI will be a “beacon” for Europe and a significant nucleus for the development of a network of research excellence, highlighting Cyprus as a center for cancer research and patient treatment. Beyond its programmatic scope and priorities, the CCRI also embraces the transformational shift of buildings to climate change mitigation and sustainability.

We are grateful for the opportunity given to our Team to be part of such a deeply meaningful project that keeps reminding our community that sustainability is only partial without social responsiveness.
