Cosmote Telekom
The Cosmote Telekom is a 40,000 m² office complex located in Athens, Greece, which was initially constructed in the 1970s and recently renovated. The building earned LEED Platinum certification for Interior Design & Construction in 2026, making it the largest office project in Greece to achieve the highest level of LEED certification.
Cosmote Telekom achieved LEED Platinum by implementing practical and measurable strategies in areas such as energy consumption and CO₂ emissions reduction, integration of a photovoltaic system as shade structures in the parking area covering over 22% of annual energy needs, improvement of indoor air quality and thermal comfort, selection of materials with low environmental impact, water savings, responsible waste management, and creation of flexible spaces that promote collaboration and efficiency.
The renovation transformed a historic structure into a high-performance, modern workspace, and today, Cosmote Telekom accommodates more than 4,200 employees in a resilient and efficient environment. In the era of evolving workplace standards, a sustainable building like Cosmote Telekom enables organizations to operate more sustainably while offering healthier, more comfortable, and productive spaces for their employees.
What distinguishes this achievement is Cosmote Telekom’s upcoming WELL certification, which will further enhance occupant health and well-being through improved air quality, lighting, ergonomics, and overall comfort, setting a new benchmark in Greece for integrating sustainability, indoor environmental quality, and human wellness as a strategic organizational choice.
